At Hygge Gymnastics, we offer a range of classes for all ages and abilities. From toddlers just starting their movement journey to adults wanting to try gymnastics for the first time, there’s something for everyone!
UNDER 5'S
Wigglers (18 months – 3 years)
Our Wigglers class is a fun, playful introduction to gymnastics for little movers and shakers! With the support of a parent or caregiver, children explore climbing, balancing, rolling, and swinging in a safe and supportive environment. This class encourages coordination, confidence, and social skills through guided activities, music, and plenty of wiggles!
Jumpers (3 – 4 years)
Jumpers is the perfect class for active preschoolers who love to bounce, balance, and explore! Children develop coordination, strength, and confidence through fun circuits that include jumping, rolling, swinging, and climbing. With a focus on independence and imagination, Jumpers build the foundations for future gymnastics skills while having loads of fun.
Flippers (4 – 5 years)
Flippers love to roll, spin, and turn upside down! In this fun-filled class, children explore beginner tumbling skills like handstands, cartwheels, and forward rolls through games, circuits, and plenty of imagination. With a focus on fun and creativity, Flippers build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement as they flip into new challenges.
GYM FOR ALL
Intro to Gymnastics
Our Intro class is the perfect starting point for children new to gymnastics. Athletes will learn the basics of movement, balance, and coordination through fun games, circuits, and beginner skills such as rolls, handstands, and safe landings. With a focus on building confidence and enjoyment, this class provides a strong foundation for future gymnastics in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Development Gymnastics
Our Development program is designed for children who are ready to take the next step in their gymnastics journey. Building on the basics, athletes focus on strength, flexibility, coordination, and skill progression across all apparatus. With structured coaching and achievable goals, gymnasts develop confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation to support future pathways in gymnastics—whether recreational or competitive.
Tumbling
Beginner / Intermediate Tumbling
This class is perfect for athletes who are new to tumbling or building on their basics. Gymnasts learn core skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, and progressions into walkovers and handsprings. With a focus on strength, coordination, and safe technique, this class builds a solid foundation while keeping things fun and engaging.
Advanced Tumbling
Designed for athletes with strong fundamentals, Advanced Tumbling focuses on higher-level skills such as aerials, handsprings, saltos, and twisting. Athletes refine technique, power, and control through progressions and drills that prepare them for complex tumbling passes. This class is ideal for gymnasts, dancers, or cheerleaders wanting to master big skills with confidence and precision.
Acrobatics
Acrobatics is all about teamwork, balance, and creativity! Athletes learn partner and group skills such as balances, lifts, simple pyramids, and basic tumbling. This fun and dynamic class helps build strength, coordination, confidence, and trust while encouraging imaginative movement and collaboration.
COMPETITVE PATHWAYS
We offer both Tumbling and Acrobatics competitively with focus on building and refining technique ready for upcoming competition events. Athletes are assigned levels based on their skills and will work to polish and prepare Them for performance in the on season whilst working in the offseason on progressions and new skills.
Please bare in mind that these are new programs so we are still working on further our acquisition of equipment to support these classes and currently can only offer 8-14m's of track to tumbling on so levels higher than 6 are out of reach for tumbling.
Our performance programs below also offer competitive opportunities with our athletes heading to a few events over the year to both showcase our performance routine we will work on in class and also compete in a discipline know as Team Gym.
Team gym includes competing in Mini tramp (running and jumping on the tramp and performning a skill from straight jump up to double front with twisting) , Tumbling (performing two skills together in a flow such as forward roll, cartwheel or roundoff back handspring and more) and Floor ( a 2minute 30 routine comprised of required skills such as balances, lifts, jumps and turns. All of these apparatus get added up to give them an overall which translates to either bronze, silver or gold.

PERFORMANCE GYMNASTICS
Sprouts - 5 to 9 years
Sprouts are our youngest gymnasts, full of energy and curiosity! This team focuses on building coordination, balance, and fundamental gymnastics skills like rolling, jumping, and basic tumbling. Through fun games, circuits, and imaginative activities, Sprouts develop confidence, social skills, and a love of movement, all in a supportive and playful environment.
Twinkles – 9 to 12 years
Twinkles are starting to shine! This team helps gymnasts develop stronger coordination, flexibility, and beginner tumbling and acrobatics skills. With creative routines, team games, and skill challenges, Twinkles build confidence, teamwork, and performance ability while continuing to enjoy movement and fun.
Stars – 12 to 18 years or Skills Higher Than a Backhandspring
Stars are our advanced gymnasts, focusing on higher-level tumbling, acrobatics, and performance skills. This team emphasizes strength, precision, and technique while encouraging independence, discipline, and teamwork. Stars are challenged with complex routines and skill progressions, preparing them for competitions, showcases, and high-level gymnastics pathways.
Moons – Adults / 18+
Moons are our adult team, designed for gymnasts aged 18 and over. Focusing on tumbling, acrobatics, and TeamGym-style routines, this class develops strength, flexibility, coordination, and performance skills. Moons enjoy a supportive, motivating, and social environment while working on challenging skills and creative routines tailored for adults.
